Jewellery Care

Savanna Couture advice for all precious jewellery:

Dear lovelies, just like you, our beautiful jewellery does need to be looked after. So, we have compiled a list of hints and tips for you on how to care for your precious Savanna Couture pieces, so it will look as lovely as the day you received it.

- Always protect your jewellery from knocks, scratches, chemicals and sunlight.
- Avoid spraying perfume or applying creams directly onto your jewellery as the chemicals can react unfavourably with it and remove the finish due to the harshness of the chemicals.

-Keep away from extreme temperatures, humidity and direct sunlight.

-To protect your pieces, your jewellery should be individually placed in a pouch.

-Ideally store your jewellery in a dark, cool dry place.

-Do not use a jewellery cleaner. Cleaners made for silver, gold or platinum is way to harsh for fashion jewellery which is plated with these precious metals. These chemicals can strip the finish of your jewellery.

-After wearing, wipe your jewellery with a soft cloth and store safely.

-Clean your beautiful fabric clutch after each use using baby wipes to remove any dirt and stains.

-For a deeper clean, wipe the clutch with a fabric cleaner or blot gently using a towel dipped in soapy water. Use a clean, damp towel to remove any excess soap and finish with a dry towel.

-Always remember, your jewellery should be the last finishing touch you put on, and the first thing you take off.

- Always put your jewellery on last, after applying make-up and perfume

- Take your jewellery off before bed.

- Store each item separately in a jewellery box so that it cannot be scratched by other pieces of jewellery & remember to keep chains fastened so that they don't get tangled up.
-Never wear your jewellery in swimming pools or hot tubs due to chlorine damage.
